The GW School of Engineering and Applied Science's graduate students and faculty are housed in Tompkins Hall on the Foggy Bottom campus. The building contains a machine shop, many computer laboratories, electrical engineering laboratories, classrooms, biomedical engineering laboratories, and various other laboratories. The GW Virginia Campus in Loudoun County is a robust center for innovative research, graduate education, and advanced partnerships. As the University's research and technology campus, it is creating centers of excellence in transportation safety and security, public health and homeland security, professional and executive education, and information technology and telecommunications.
